Cycle for hair growing and losing
In: Articles
The cycle for hair growth usually lasts about two, sometimes up to three years. In this phase hair grows one centimeter in a month. The fact is that 90 % of hair is constantly growing while 10 % of hair remains in the resting stage. In several months (usually 3-4) those, which were in their resting stage begin to fall out, then new hair appears.
This process is absolutely normal and due to it every day we can see some hair left in the brush or comb. Nevertheless, there are some cases when hair is constantly falling out in a great amount. This is where the problem becomes a serious one. It is frequently called excessive hair loss or balding and can affect men, women and children.
